NWR Staff Moments of 2006

by Steven Rodriguez - January 1, 2007, 9:11 pm EST

Nintendo World Report highlights the best of the year that was.

Before we hand over our last award of the year, the Nintendo World Report staff is going to reflect on their own favorite moments of 2006. You may notice that many of these are similar; that may not be a coincidence.

Stan Ferguson: “Launching the new site, as well as creating Radio Free Nintendo and its evolution in such a short period of time. Also, the podcast pirates and Jonny doing the Real Wii-trollers RFN commercials."

Lasse Pallesen: “Launching the new site and the podcast."

Karl Casteneda: “The commencement of Radio Free Nintendo, of course!"

Michael Cole: “Waiting for my Wii with Steven during the L.A. Citywalk Wii launch event, Playing Super Mario Galaxy during a mob scene in Nintendo's E3 booth, and of course launching the new website."

Jonathan Metts: “Naming a new Director and relaunching the site."

Jon Lindemann: “A photographer taking a picture of me, Micheal Cole, and Jonny Metts playing our DS handhelds in line at Nintendo's E3 booth, and it making it into the Yahoo! pictorial coverage of the event."

Evan Burchfield: “The new website, the new podcast and the staff changeover."

Steven Rodriguez: “My best moment was either the day I started as Director, or the day before I was asked to take over the job. I haven't decided yet."

Aaron Kaluszka: “The new staff, the new name and the podcast!"

Daniel Bloodworth: “I took the Wii up to my friend's family's for our annual Thanksgiving getaway and the whole crew had a blast. Her parents got in a boxing match, my girlfriend took down FIVE men in a row in boxing. And then we took our traditional trip to the bowling alley where I got three strikes in a row and my girlfriend got four in a row - thanks to Wii Bowling."
