A downloadable program will be able to fix your save file.
A recently discovered bug in the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will soon be fixable via a downloadable program from Nintendo.
The bug, encountered late in the game, made it so you were not able to progress further. Nintendo had previously recognized the problem and revealed instructions on how to avoid the bug.

An anonymous source talks about GameStop's part in Xenoblade's localization.
GameStop reached out to Nintendo in an effort to bring Xenoblade to America, according to an anonymous source. The source also claimed that GameStop is aiding with publishing costs.

Not every retailer is getting Nintendo's newest 3DS attachment.
In a press release detailing Nintendo's early 2012 software lineup, it was revealed that the Circle Pad Pro will be sold exclusively through GameStop.
Releasing on February 7, the Circle Pad Pro will available at both GameStop's locations and its website. It is releasing alongside Resident Evil Revelations, one of the games utilizing the device. Currently it is listed at a suggested retail price of $19.99.

PokéPark 2 and Mario Party 9 are on their way to Europe this March according to a recent press release from Nintendo of Europe. The release schedule also listed four other Wii titles including Boom Street, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, and Rhythm Paradise Wii to be released in the first half of 2012.

Inazuma Eleven 2, the follow-up to last year's release, will hit store shelves in early 2012. It will come in two different variations: Firestorm an Blizzard. The news comes from Nintendo of Europe's recent uncovering of the Q1 2012 lineup through a press release earlier in the morning.

The European Nintendo Channel has updated its pages with dates for upcoming games on the Nintendo eShop, the Nintendo DSi Shop and the Wii Shop Channel. Mistwalker's Wii RPG is coming to Europe before Xenoblade hits North America.
The Last Story is coming to Europe on February 24, 2012, according to a Nintendo press release.
The RPG, from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi's studio Mistwalker, came out in Japan in early 2011 to rave reviews. It's a story-focused experience with an innovative combat system. Additionally, The Last Story features online multiplayer ranging from deathmatch to co-op.

One AAA battery will hold you over for quite awhile with Nintendo's monstrous 3DS peripheral.
The Circle Pad Pro promises 480 hours of battery life with one AAA battery. The news comes directly from the device’s manual as the peripheral and Monster Hunter 3 (Tri) G were made available to a select few in Japan before the official release on December 10.

UPDATE: While Miyamoto will be focusing on smaller projects, he will NOT be retiring from game development altogether.
UPDATE: A Reuters report refuted the news that Shigeru Miyamoto will be stepping down from his position at Nintendo. A spokesperson from Nintendo denied the allegations made on Wired's interview, saying that Miyamoto simply wanted to train the new generation. After the announcement, Nintendo's shares fell two percent and partially recovered after the denial.

Gamers in Japan can play Wario's first adventure next week on their 3DS!
Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 is set to be released in the Japan eShop on December 14 for 400 yen. This was revealed on the Nintendo 3DS Japan eShop under the “news” section for December 7. This brings the total of Virtual Console games to 39 in Japan.
