As the 2026 MLB postseason continues and I curse the lack of a meteor landing on the Little Trop of Horrors during Rays / Yankees, we're going live with a new term. In the tradition of baseball acronyms like TOOTBLAN (Thrown Out On The Bases Like A Nimcompoop) we have STANDUP: Switch 2 Available, No Discount Upgrade Plan. This week is chock full of them with Bluey's Happy Snaps, Tales of Eternia Remastered, and a pair of Toy Story games, with the only one beating the allegations being a new Harvest Moon. That leaves the big game(s) of the week for Switch 2 as Residents Evil 2 - 4, as I have to mea culpa for inadvertently writing "February" instead of "October" in the initial coverage.

The OG Switch gets some love this week as well with Castlevania: Belmont's Curse (your reminder that closed worlds mean open game developers), horror title Tenebris Somnia, the newest Jackbox Party Pack, and the newest game from the developer behind WWF No Mercy and Def Jam Vendetta... Meow Meow Balls. If I mention they've done more fashion games lately, does it make more sense?

THINGS WE MISSED LAST WEEK: Nintendo dropped a couple of "My Mario" line puzzle games with Hello, Luigi and Hello, Peach. For the Archives, just the OG Switch got Fighting Golf, which came to consoles as Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf and lives on today as Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge. ("Ball is in PARKING LOT. Would you like to play again?" *beep* "You have selected 'no'.)

IS THE EGGCONSOLE GAME PLAYABLE IN ENGLISH: For The Screamer, I'm going to assume no - there's no text beyond stats in the screenshots on the eShop but it's still a Japanese PC-8801 RPG.
