When I picked up Viewtiful Joe in early 2004, its old-school 2D action and brilliant cel-shading made me want to discuss video games online, which pushed me towards reviewing, and that eventually landed me a gig with Planet GameCube. So if it hadn’t been for Viewtiful Joe, I wouldn’t have found my calling here, and you wouldn’t be reading these words. Not a day goes by that I don’t thank my lucky stars for picking it up, and if you’ve got half a mind, you’ll rush out and pick it up as soon as you can.
