The long-delayed WayForward platformer will see release this October.
An image sent to members of the Shantae Fan Club confirms the release date for Shantae: Risky's Revenge for DSiWare. The poster says that the title will be released on October 4 2010.
Shantae: Risky's Revenge is the sequel to the Game Boy Color title, Shantae, and was developed by WayForward Technologies, creators of the original title as well as A Boy and his Blob for the Wii.

The newest issue of Nintendo Power lists Cave Story in the index.
The game index of the latest issue of Nintendo Power lists Cave Story
for the DSiWare. This is the first time Cave Story has been mentioned
for the DSiWare service. Originally a PC title, Cave Story was ported
to Wii and released on the WiiWare service in March 2010.
More information should be available when the issue hits news stands.

Flip's Twisted World is now listed for an October 19 release according to publisher Majesco and retailers.
"Right now [Nintendo of America] is overloaded due to the upcoming holiday release season so our final approval and manufacturing dates got pushed out," said Julian Spillane, CEO of developer Frozen North Productions.

A Mario history section along with new wallpapers are part of the update.
Nintendo has updated their Super Mario 25th Anniversary site with two new sections. The first is a History section in which players can read information regarding the 11 main Mario games, starting with Super Mario Bros. on the NES and ending with the recent Super Mario Galaxy 2. Each game is presented with a short gameplay clip.

Son Son, Exed Exes, and Commando look to be coming soon.
The Australian Clasification Board has listed Capcom's arcade titles Son Son and Exed Exes, making it all but certain that these two titles will see release in other regions on Virtual Console. The titles are already available in Japan and both have been rated PG for mild violence.

The Majesco-published 3D platformer is being delayed hopefully for the last time.
Flip's Twisted World, the 3D platformer from Canada-based Frozen North Productions, is not coming out until sometime in October, according to Majesco representatives.
The game was originally supposed to come out in 2009, and was delayed to June 2010 and most recently September 2010. The latest date was actually today, September 21.

A little more information about what is used.
Some details have emerged about the technical specifications of the hardware for the Nintendo 3DS.
An anonymous source has told IGN that "two 266MHz ARM11 CPUs, along with a 133MHz GPU, 4MBs of dedicated VRAM, 64MBs of RAM, and 1.5GBs of flash storage" are powering the handheld.

Nintendo's latest Pokemon games have broken several records in just two days.
Pokemon Black and Pokemon White were released in Japan over the weekend. Some retailers sold out, but even with demand exceeding supply, Pokemon Black and Pokemon White still managed to sell exceptionally well.

Virtual Console returns with Aero the Acro-Bat 2, while WiiWare gets educational and DSiWare gets three new releases.
Virtual Console sees another release, while WiiWare gets two titles and DSiWare adds three.
Sunsoft's Aero the Acro-Bat 2 is the lone Virtual Console title this week. The sequel to Aero the Acro-Bat, the sequel offers 45 new levels as well as friends and enemies for Aero to interact with. The Super Nintendo title is available for download for 800 Points ($8).

Epic Mickey's collectibles, which come in the form of film reels and pins, will unlock "substantial things," including access to levels, according to a game representative during a demo of the game earlier today.
While the exact content isn't confirmed, the items will be used to unlock more content, possibly more levels.

While their current focus is Xbox 360, the Japanese developer's president is interested in Nintendo's 3D handheld.
Masato Maegawa, president of famed Japanese developer Treasure, is "really, really excited" about Nintendo 3DS.
While the Sin and Punishment-developer isn't making anything for the system right now, they're definitely planning to look into it, according to an interview with 1UP.com. Currently, Treasure is bringing Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury and the rare Saturn shooter Radiant Silvergun to Xbox Live Arcade.

The first commercial RPG made on RPG Maker sees a remake on 3DS.
The Canadian development house Blossomsoft has announced through their Twitter account that they are remaking their RPG Eternal Eden for the Nintendo 3DS. The original title is known for being the first commercially released game made with RPG Maker VX, a software tool where players can create their own RPG title.

A Wii game takes a trophy at the Paris Game Festival.
The Milthon European Games Awards were held over the weekend in Paris, France, and a Wii game earned one European developer a trophy.
British developer Climax Studios took home the award for Best Audio Design for their Wii title Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.

Hideo Kojima announced the release window at Tokyo Game Show.
The 3DS version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will be coming out in 2011, according to series creator Hideo Kojima at a press conference at Tokyo Game Show.
There weren't many more details at the event outside of the release window and the fact that the game's name will simply be Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It was also stated that more information will be revealed at a later date.

Level 5's new game has received a release window and a name change.
CoroCoro Comic announced recently that Level 5’s first console entry in one of their biggest franchises is slated to be released on the Wii next spring under the title Inazuma Eleven Strikers. The game was initially announced in June under the name Inazuma Eleven Break.
The Tokyo Game Show is starting, and Level 5 currently has a secret game marked for unveiling on Wednesday. It is unknown if that unknown game is Inazuma Eleven Strikers.
