Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

by Neal Ronaghan - June 16, 2014, 9:51 am EDT

This Super Mario 3D World spin-off wowed us at E3 2014.

Let's face it: everyone who played the Captain Toad levels in Super Mario 3D World wanted to see more of the intrepid little guy. Nintendo delivered with this brand-new game Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. The daring toad once again makes use of his inability to jump to place players in interesting situations that require amusing puzzle-solving, whimsical situations, and some really shiny graphics. Every member of Nintendo World Report that played Treasure Tracker seemed impressed by it, and the later levels showed off boss battles (that even conclude with the Cap'n accidentally defeating the boss) and some clever door puzzles that can wrinkle your brain.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be out on Wii U by the end of the year. If you want to see what shenanigans he gets into next, read our preview and check the videos below.

So I'm a big Nintendo fan and I haven't even taken the time yet to check into Sony and Microsofts stuff. Is Smash the GAME OF THE SHOW (as in Game of the Show including everything Sony and Microsoft did) or was it Game of the Nintendo Show?

It also features combat mutilation. I noticed one of those dog rabbit creatures lost an ear during a fight.
