Recently, PGC sent our readers out in search of GameCube pre-orders. We were completely overwhelmed by the number of responses we received! Readers wrote in from all over North America, letting us know what was up in their respective nook of the world.

Much like our Retail Reports, these only provide a sample of what’s going on, but should help give everyone a better idea of who’s doing what, where and when.

Although at E3 Nintendo indicated that pre-order campaign would begin around Labor Day and later reports suggested that pre-orders and playable kiosks would be found in stores sometime in late September, this has overwhelmingly not been the case. Instead, most stores aren't even doing pre-orders. Here's a breakdown of some of our overall findings.

Our readers pointed out pre-order locations and provided retail information from all over the continent! In organizing this report, we have broken down most of the information into three major sections, headed by an overview of the special:

• Major Retailers – with info on many of the larger chains

• Canada – info specifically for the Nintendophiles in the land of the Maple Leaf
• Online – places over the World Wide Web offering GameCube deals

• And for other odds and ends we’ve included a “Miscellaneous” section at the end.
