The Greening (Or Not) of the Wii Software Library

Getting Greener: Conclusion

by Carmine Red - November 11, 2008, 11:35 pm EST

On one hand, the Wii is getting franchises that never showed up on the GameCube. On the other, there are still plenty of titles that would be perfect on Nintendo's latest console, yet aren't.

The Grass is Getting Greener Conclusion

The Wii has come a long way from the GameCube. It's become the home system for shooting games both new and old, and it's also managed to attract once scarce ghosts and zombies to its menagerie of offerings. Whereas these games appeared everywhere but on a Nintendo console, now they're exclusives on Nintendo's unassuming, white gaming console.

There are games on other systems that still catch my eye, and there always will be. It might be human nature to never be completely happy with what you have. However, more and more, the titles that captured my envy in the past are migrating over to Nintendo's latest console.

The grass may always look greener on the other side of the fence, but that just means you have to get your eyes checked. It's plenty green over here too, and getting greener every day.
