Guitar Hero, Band Hero, DJ Hero DLC Being Removed March 31 Wii

Yes, there really were Wii games with DLC.

All downloadable content for the Guitar Hero, Band Hero, and DJ Hero games are being removed March 31 from their in-game stores.

Songs previously downloaded will still be available, and servers for the games will remain online. Many songs are going on sale, up to 50 percent off, now until their removal. To take advantage of the sale, Nintendo Points are needed. Nintendo eShop currency does not apply to the Wii Shop Channel.

The iOS hanafuda card game finds a place in the living room.

Kiki's Koi-Koi is heading to the Wii U eShop later this year.

Developer How Seven! initially released this easy to learn game for iOS devices in August 2011. A cute little koi named Kiki teaches players how to play Koi-Koi, a Japanese hanafuda card game. Thereafter, you can play against friends or Kiki herself.

To go with the Atlus' newest Persona game for the 3DS, Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, will be a limited edition Velvet Room styled 3DS LL. The front is made to look like a handheld Persona book, and has a load of characters from Persona 3 and 4 in formation on the back.

This is why we need more bells put into the education system.

The Animal Crossing: New Leaf 2-Poster set from Club Nintendo contains many spelling errors and name mistakes.

The poster with the errors depicts a variety of town folk from the game mislabeled and misspelled. Characters like Fang and Freya are labeled as Freya and Dobie, respectively, along with many other mistakes of the same ilk. The poster set is 500 coins on Club Nintendo, and replacements are being shipped to those affected.

Two New Pokémon-Themed 3DS XL Models Revealed 3DS

Club Nintendo Post-Play Survey Rules Updated

Big news for those holding on to their Wii and DS product registration codes.

Club Nintendo North America has updated their rules for Wii and DS post-play surveys. Beginning April 7, 2014, newly registered Wii and DS games will no longer be eligible for 10-coin post-play surveys. Wii and DS games will, however, still be eligible for initial product registration surveys.

Pikachu Announced as Mascot for Japanese Team at World Cup

The Japanese National team is ready to charge up for the big game!

Pikachu, among other Pokémon, will be the official mascot of the Japanese soccer team for the upcoming World Cup games.

Adidas, who is the official kit designer of the Japanese National team, announced their new relationship with Nintendo today. Pikachu, Bulbasaur and others will all be donning the "Samurai Blue" kit gear in preparation for the upcoming games.

Solid Snake 'Not Likely' for Upcoming Smash Bros. Games 3DSWiiU

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima doesn't believe Solid Snake will return as a playable character in either of the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games this year.

In an interview with Geoff Keighley for Twitch, Kojima stated, "I'm not working on that game so I don't know, but I don't think that's likely."

A new update to Wii Sports Club today adds the nine-hole Wii Sports Resort course to Golf. Also, the entire game, including all three currently released sports, is free next weekend.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Bravely Default lead the pack for Nintendo.

February 2014 software sales for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U rose above February 2013 sales thanks to both Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Bravely Default.

In February, Wii U software sales were 180 percent higher than software sales the previous February. 3DS software sales also rose 25 percent when measured up to last year's sales.

Looks like Mario and company will golf underwater, complete with wonky physics.

A new Mario Golf: World Tour trailer showcases an underwater level previously seen in screenshots called Cheep Cheep Lagoon.

The trailer shows Daisy playing golf underwater. Bloopers, in addition to other enemies, are shown swimming along the course, possibly impeding players who wish to make that perfect shot.

Sad news for those who like to spend their time speaking to strangers in Morse code.

Steel Diver: Sub Wars will soon be receiving an update that fixes how often several errors occur while playing online over the Nintendo Network. The update will also add several new features that fans have requested, though specifics have yet to be revealed.

Sadly, this update will also do away with the game's online Morse code chat room. Players will still be able to communicate via Morse code during and before matches however.
