All month long, Wendy's fast food chains are giving away Mario toys with their kid's meals. There are five toys in all. There's a Mario and Chomp suction cup, a poseable action figure, a mini Mario Kart race game, a Mario Kart, and a mini Mario board game. You don't need to be a kid to get the meal, though you'll probably get a strange look if you order one.

Greece bans video games

That's right. If you're going to Greece any time soon, be sure you leave that GBA at home.

In an attempt to stop "illegal gambling", the government of Greece has passed a law that simply makes all video games illegal.

Greek Law Number 3037, enacted at the end of July, explicitly forbids electronic games with "electronic mechanisms and software" from public and private places, and people have already been fined tens of thousands of dollars for playing or owning games.

The Smash Brothers DX Orchestra Concert was held last week in Ueno, Tokyo. The sold out event featured 14 tunes from Nintendo’s popular franchises including Mario and Zelda. The audience consisted mostly of children accompanied by their parents.
