The #1 slot wasn't going to be a contest if you knew the release schedule.
Although there was a pigskin in the room in the July schedule, Nintendo software dominated July once again for the NPD Group's US sales survey.
All data is for the period of July 7 to August 3, and is based on revenue unless noted.

Seed Interactive stopped by the Talk Nintendo Podcast to give us all the details on their latest project.
Seed Interactive officially unveiled their second Switch title, StarBlox Inc., on the latest episode of the Talk Nintendo Podcast (episode 152). Blending a Tetris styled puzzler with a fighting game, it aims to capitalize on frantic local multiplayer fun. The developers, who also worked on Skies of Fury DX, plan to release the game sometime this fall.

A filing with the US Federal Communications Commission suggests that a first party Bluetooth-powered Super Nintendo controller may be coming for Switch soon.
The filing was made available this morning, though all photographs taken as part of the testing are locked until February 6 of next year.... Read more...

A collection of Two Tribes' 2001-2019 catalog all in one boxed set.
Super Rare Games is at it again, switching things up with their next release. The previously announced Toki Tori 1 and 2+ puzzlers will now be packaged alongside the robot-hacking shooter Rive, as well as the original Toki Tori Game Boy Color Version, the recently released block-matching game Swap This! and a demo of an unreleased project "Three Tribes".

Taking the Final Fantasy Legend to its illogical extreme.
2020 will see the release of an RPG where you truly are what you eat.
Bite the Bullet, a previously announced for PC shooter with procedural generation, will come to Switch early next year as well. After filling enemies full of lead, the playable character can eat the remais which has a dramatic effect on their stat growth.

The latest trailer for Pokémon Sword and Shield has revealed new Pokémon and the evil group that will be dogging your adventure in the Galar region.
Pokémon
Some existing Pokémon will have Galar-specific forms, similar to the Alolan forms of the Sun and Moon games. A Galarian Weezing was shown, with giant smokestacks emerging from it, and a Poison/Fairy typing with the traditional Levitate ability.

What is it with these small towns?
An intriguing looking horror game has picked up a veteran publisher ahead of its Switch release later this year.
Wired Productions (GRIP: Combat Racing, Vostok Inc) have announced their status as the publisher of Those Who Remain. Developed by British studio Camel 101, the game stars a man named Edward who has to survive exploration in the town of Dormont.

This one came around in January.
Oriignally shown in January's Nintendo Indie Showcase, Children of Morta will be hitting the eShop in a couple of months.
Set on Mount Morta, the randomly generated RPG has been announced for a Switch release on October 15. A new trailer (below) shows off more of the game.
Children of Morta's eShop price will be US/€21.99, and a physical version will be distributed by Merge Games at the same time.

The shiny digital future claims another victim.
Not even the Number One Dime will let you get the remastered Ducktales after Friday.
Capcom have announced that the 2013 Wii U release Ducktales Remastered will be removed from the eShop sometime during the day on Friday. 4:59 PM PT is the quoted removal time. It will be available for 75% off (US/C$3.74) until the delisting occurs.

If the game in North America is 1-2-Switch, we riot.
Nintendo of Europe has announced Switch Online trials similar to the one for Captain Toad in Japan, and it's a game that would actually use Switch Online.
From 7 - 13 August, European region (including Australia) Switch Online members will be able to download and play all of Mario Tennis Aces. The trial is on the eShop now for download.

A welcome surprise for RPG fans.
This morning, Nintendo announced that the Obsidian developed sci-fi RPG, The Outer Worlds, will be ported to Switch following the release on other platforms.
The Outer Worlds was announced shortly after the acquisition of Obsidian Entertainment by Microsoft near the end of 2018. The port will be handled by Virtuos whose recent history with Switch includes both Starlink: Battle for Atlas and Dark Souls Remastered.

This one should be new to Nintendo players.
It's going to be a quick turnaround for the next Sniper Elite title on Switch.
Sniper Elite 3, a 2014 cross-generation release, will land on Switch October 1. The Switch version will include all of the original game's downloadable content, including World War II themed missions that involve protecting Winston Churchill and assassinating Adolf Hitler.

The week before Pokémon has now tripled in release intensity.
In separate announcements today, Disney Tsum Tsum Festival and New Super Lucky's Tale both were announced for release on November 8. They join the remaster of Layton's Mysterious Journey for Switch in releasing one week before Pokémon Sword and Shield.
