A space shooter with an interesting pedigree and hot music

A new studio headed by a former Retro AI developer will make its debut on the Wii U eShop this Thursday.

Squarehead Studios will release Star Ghost on the North America, European and Australian eShops this week for $9.99/€8.99/£7.99. The studio head is Rhys Lewis, who was a programmer on Banjo-Kazooie and later went to Retro where he became the AI developer for titles such as Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. The music is composed by veteran Donkey Kong Country/Yooka-Laylee musician David Wise.

Star Ghost is a procedurally generated horizontal space shooter, which was based on the studio's previous title for mobile Star Drift. The game has been reimagined from the ground up to use traditional controls.
