Nintendo Downloads – March 10, 2016

A day of telling destiny to get knotted, price drops and Mario.

Probably the biggest release of the week in terms of content for North America is the 3rd path for Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation. (Not to be confused with Capcom’s Resident Evil: Revelaitons.) The final portion of the massively popular RPG answers a whole bunch of spoilery questions and basically makes it so that strategy RPG fans will be playing this bad boy until June’s Tokyo Mirage Sessions (sharp)FE.

In other RPG news, the demo for Bravely Second hits for North America, which gives you over a month to tear it apart – but Best Buy Gamer’s Club Unlocked members are already ahead of the game. There’s an interesting looking shooter in Star Ghost, and a bunch of price drops on retail software to hook up with the Nintendo Selects. All in all, a busy week.

Europe picks up an aftershock from the great RPG earthquake in Stella Glow – a game I’m still in love with after reviewing it last November – and a whole bunch of Mario GBA love on the Wii U. (North America should have gotten it for Mar 10, but all of these games already came out there.) New 3DS owners also get to experience one of the greatest games ever put to silicon, a 16-bit tale unparalleled in history – and also Super Metroid.

And in a personal note, yesterday marked the one year anniversary of my joining the Nintendo World Report staff. I'd like to thank you for putting up with me for the last twelve months, and I hope I never have to write another obituary for a major Nintendo personality. Here's to year two!
