Also includes the European release date.

Nintendo of Europe has put a final number on the Animal Crossing Amiibo card collection.

There will be 100 cards to collect, each sold in 3 packs that are blind-packed. It would take at least 34 boosters to collect all of the collection, assuming no duplicates in any pack until the last one.

The cards were also confirmed for an October 2 release in Europe, the same day as Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer and the 3DS NFC adapter for older model 3DS systems. North America's release date for the game and accessories was previously announced as September 29.

Wow - that's a lot of cards.  Are there still rumors that Amiibo cards will be offered at some point for the already existing Amiibo?

Blind packs are absolute bullshit. I expected better from Nintendo. 100 cards is a LOT of cards to ask anyone to try to collect via blind packs; the number of doubles you'd accumulate is unthinkable... especially since we all know there will be rares. Why can't Nintendo just get their amiibo shit together?

SorenJuly 22, 2015

Blind packs? Screw that.

KhushrenadaJuly 22, 2015

So, UncleBob, are you and I going to be trading some New Leaf cards between us?

Spak-SpangJuly 22, 2015

Blind Packs suck...and it will make it harder to collect.

However, if the cards as manufactured all in equal numbers, then getting duplicates would actually be easier IF Nintendo provided fewer cards.

I understand the desire to collect everything perfectly, and that blind boosters prevent this...however blind boosters are more in the spirit of the game...and going to buy the exact card for whatever you wanted is not in the spirit of Animal Crossing.  So, I think I agree with Nintendo's blind card approach.

They're trading cards.  Of course they're blind-packed.  If anyone was expecting anything different, they were setting themselves up for disappointment from the outset.

I'm just glad these will probably be more popular than the e-Reader cards.  No one bought those, so finding people to trade with to complete my set was a pain in the neck.

Khush, UncleBob, let's get started now setting up our little trading Circle. Wow, we've already got more people than I knew who had Animal Crossing eCards back in the day!

Kairon too?!? These cards are as good as got already!

Good luck guys!

/facepalm

Of course on a day where it seems like things are going in the right direction with Palutena being up on Amazon for a little over an hour (still up on .ca four hours later), this would also come to light.
