UPDATE: Animal Crossing Direct coming before the game launches.

UPDATE: Animal Crossing Tobidase will get a special Nintendo Direct Event shortly before the title releases in Japan. Titles such as Oni Training and Pocket Soccer League Culcio Bit received the same treatment earlier this summer. No specific date has been set for the event.

Animal Crossing Tobidase (Jump Out) for the Nintendo 3DS will be released at stores and on the eShop on November 8 in Japan, Satoru Iwata revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct Event.

The 3DS version mixes the usual Animal Crossing formula up a bit by putting players in the role of the mayor. Items shown being purchased for the town included bridges, lampposts and a wooden cutout similar to ones found at carnivals. New additions to the clothes designing aspect were also shown, which now has more options as well as the ability to share designs using QR codes.

Animal Crossing will be priced at the regular 4,800 yen price point, which would hint at a $40 price when it eventually gets dated for North America.

I think I'll be waiting for a Wii U version for my next AC endeavors. Mostly because I have a full house that had fun playing the Wii version.

It's cool that this will be available digitally too, but not if it's MORE than the retail version!

Wild World was released in JP in November and then US in December (EU in March). How 1st party releases have been pushed back I doubt we'll see a Dec release but I hope we get it stateside by March the latest.

This is the game I bought a 3DS for.
