Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing 3DS Arriving Next Year in EU

The two anticipated 3DS titles are set to launch in the first half of 2013

Both Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing were mentioned in today's European Nintendo Direct, albeit only briefly as their releases have been pushed back to early next year.

Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata was apologetic for the extra wait in his announcement, but remained enthusiastic that Nintendo has delayed the games in order to provide the quality that fans expect from these two series.

We'll have more information with solid release dates as soon as it becomes available.

I'm really glad about this news for 2 reasons;
1st, it's welcome confirmation that they are definitely on the way. I was starting to worry about Animal Crossing.

2nd, I'm really excited about the next 6 months on 3DS and I will have a hard enough time choosing which games to get for Christmas as it is  ;)

What a bummer.  Animal Crossing is my most look forward to title on the 3ds.  Oh well, Hopefully it will come early 2013.

Technically neither were "pushed back" as they never had release dates in North America. Wish AC was coming this year though.

Fire Emblem was given a 2012 release window for Europe.

Animal Crossing appeared in several quarterly calendars as a 2012 release.
