Additionally, Zack & Wiki sold 300,000. However, Capcom's third quarter financial reports show that both We Love Golf and Megaman Starforce 2 underperformed.
According to recent documents, the third-party Wii exclusive Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles is on the verge of becoming a million-seller. Capcom recently presented documents highlighting their third quarter financial performance, and they report that Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles has managed to ship 950,000 units worldwide. This is far in excess of Capcom's expected 620,000 unit sales forecast, and Capcom credited the title with particularly robust sales in America and Europe. Elsewhere, Capcom noted that their earlier Resident Evil game on the Wii, Resident Evil 4, had also managed to ship more than one million units.
Capcom also announced worldwide shipment numbers for Zack & Wiki, which placed the critically-acclaimed Wii exclusive at 300,000 units worldwide. The company noted that Zack & Wiki and Sengoku Basara 2 Heroes, a Wii game currently only available in Japan, exhibited steady growth. However, both Camelot-developed We Love Golf for Wii and Megaman Starforce 2 for the DS underperformed.
With their fiscal year ending March 31st, Capcom expects they will end their fiscal year 2007 with a net income of more than $56 million.
