Canadians bought a lot of games too, enough to put them over $1 billion total for the year to date.
November wasn't just a big sales month in the USA, but up north as well. According to estimates released by the NPD Group, Canadian game sales reached $209.1 million Canadian (US $205.6 million), enough to put Canada over a cool billion dollars Canadian in sales for the year 2007 with the month of December still to go.
Just like in the USA, Nintendo figured prominently at the top of the charts. On the hardware side, the DS and Wii delivered a one-two punch with approximately 120,000 and 82,000 units sold respectively. Additionally, Nintendo had two titles in the top 10 software charts. Mario Galaxy took the premier spot after having moved 94,000 copies and Wii Play came in at number five with 51,000 units sold.
Despite selling the most hardware units in the month, no DS title made it into the top 10.
