This year's E3 will likely surprise gamers with a number of out-of-the-blue announcements. My predictions for the show are as follows:
- We'll see something from Retro, hopefully a new first-person shooter utilizing the Metroid Prime 3 engine.
- Ready at Dawn will make both Wii and DS game announcements since they've shipped back their PSP dev kits.
- There will be a new peripheral-driven game from Nintendo announced.
- Nintendo will announce Wii Fit 2, featuring online capabilities allowing you to simultaneously train along with friends.
- Nintendo will finally announce a full-blown Pokemon RPG for Wii.
- Treasure will announce a WiiWare game.
- Nintendo will announce a pending Wii firmware update that will give all developers unlimited access to the Wii's SD Card, and also improve load times from the SD Card.
- Nintendo will announce a GPS add-on for the Nintendo DS, to be used by a game that requires players to save their GPS coordinates, and then communicate with other players online in order to find treasures based at other coordinates.
