According to a retail insider, SoulCalibur V may be coming to the 3DS.

SoulCalibur V, the latest addition to Namco Bandai’s popular fighting series, may be coming to the 3DS. According to website Nintendo Life, a retail insider revealed that the game is currently listed for pre-order at an unknown chain. However, Namco Bandai has yet to confirm the game’s existence.

If the rumor turns out to be true, it would not be the first time that the SoulCalibur series has appeared on a Nintendo system. In 2003, SoulCalibur II was released on the GameCube, with Link as a playable character. Additionally, Namco Bandai released Soulcalibur Legends in 2007, a less than stellar, Wii-only spinoff.

AHHHHOOOOO!!!!!!!

I know it's only a rumor but it's so exciting!!!!! I didn't even think of this possibility!

I'm not sure if I'd prefer a port of V, or a new one. On one hand, if they ported V well, that'd be great, but they might port it badly, and that would be a real shame. Or they might make one for the 3DS from the ground up. That could be good, or, if they are lazy (or hand develpment over to a new team or something) it would be bad. So I want either a good port, or a game from the same team.

I want a good SoulCalibur game!

I agree with you on a "GOOD" game, (but I also want to be able to make lots of created fighters and have a great selection of choices to make from as well).

I agree with you there about it being a "GOOD"game game, (but I want to be able to still make a crap load of my own fighters and have a lot of customizable options for them too). (Now, how about porting Mortal Kombat 9 to the 3DS too?)

Calling it now, the guest fighter is going to be Pit.

Oh that would be awesome, I wonder what guest character they would put in!
