Cartridge Case

by Max Lake - March 12, 2001, 5:36 am EST

Hori is producing small, plastic cases to protect GBA cartridges from general wear & tear.

One of the biggest "must have" accessories for most Game Boy owners is some sort of protection for their cartridges. In Japan at least, Hori will be providing cases for the new handheld carts that will safeguard them from shock, dirt, dust and grime. The cases will provide a comfy fit for any standard size GBA game (they will be too small for GBC sized carts) and will be translucent, so your games will stay protected up till the moment you take them out to play. Hori's cases will offer great defense for GBA carts & make them easy to transport-great items for the gamer on the go.

Hori's GBA Cartridge Cases will be released in time for the Japanese GBA launch on March 21st & retail for 200 yen (less than $2 U.S.). Like with Hori's other GBA products, it's hard to say whether or not the cases will be released outside of Japan. It is almost certain that other hardware companies will produce similar cases for GBA games.
