THQ Ships Power Rangers DinoThunder for PlayStation 2, GameCube and Game Boy Advance

CALABASAS HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 2004--THQ(R) Inc. (Nasdaq:THQI) and Buena Vista Interactive, a publishing label of Buena Vista Games, Inc., announced that Power Rangers DinoThunder(TM) for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, Nintendo(R) GameCube(R) and Game Boy(R) Advance, has shipped to retail outlets throughout North America. The popular "Power Rangers" TV show is celebrating its 12th season with the current series, "Power Rangers DinoThunder," a combination of Power Rangers and dinosaurs. The release of Power Rangers DinoThunder marks THQ's fifth installment in the million-plus unit selling Power Rangers videogame franchise since securing the game publishing rights in 2000 (according to The NPD Group) and the first time Power Rangers has been released for the PlayStation 2 and GameCube.

"Boys are embracing the 'Power Rangers' more than ever thanks to a strong presence on the Jetix blocks on Toon Disney and ABC family," said Peter Dille, senior vice president, worldwide marketing, THQ. "We're thrilled with the consistent worldwide success of the show and look forward to continued success of the Power Rangers brand."

Power Rangers DinoThunder for PlayStation 2, GameCube and Game Boy Advance features gameplay based on the current season, "Power Rangers DinoThunder" airing on the ABC Television Network's "ABC Kids," and during the JETIX programming blocks mornings on ABC Family and evenings on Toon Disney. The console games will feature more than 50 different missions and minigames in nine wide open, free roaming worlds. Players can control 18 different Zords, including ones from previous series "Power Rangers Ninja Storm" and "Power Rangers Wild Force." Gamers will have the ability to switch between Zords in mid-mission and engage in Megazord battles as in the TV show.
