Climax is climaxing by clawing ex-Crawfish developers to advance its Game Boy Advance development.

Climax Creates Handheld Development Dream Team!

18th March 2002, Solent, UK – As part of its on-going recruitment drive, Climax is today delighted to announce the creation of a handheld development dream team. Having handpicked the best talent from Crawfish and combined them with its existing people, Climax has created one of the most experienced and technically gifted handheld development teams in the industry.

The new recruitment sees Climax's specialist handheld development team swell to 20. Having worked on a variety of GBC, GBA and mobile games in the past, including Street Fighter Alpha 3 (GBA), Driver (GBC) and Nick Toons Racing (GBA), the team is arguably one of the most experienced in the world.

The team has already been put to task on two massively high profile but as yet unannounced GBA games. In the future Climax hopes to expand the operation still further by taking on more GBA games and exploring the possibilities of the mobile format, N-Gage.

As part of the new wave of recruitment, Cameron Sheppard, founder and MD of Crawfish, has been employed by Climax as Managing Director. Joining him is ex-Crawfish man Mike Merren, who joins the company as Development Director. Both Mike and Cameron are well-respected throughout the industry and bring a wealth of experience and skills developing handheld games to company. The two, together with the new recruits, give Climax an unrivalled level of expertise in the handheld market.

"We're delighted to have Cameron, Mike and the best people from Crawfish onboard" stated Karl Jeffery, CEO of Climax. "Crawfish's unfortunate demise has enabled us to strengthen our handheld division with some exceptionally talented individuals who will add enormously to our existing team. And with such an exceptionally gifted team in place, we're now in a position to expand our handheld development programme."
