Deep Silver's Mysterious Adventure Secret Files: Tunguska Explodes onto Store Shelves Today

June 30, 2010, 1:26 pm EDT

HERMOSA BEACH, CA – JUNE 30, 2010 – Deep Silver, the games label of Koch Media, a worldwide producer and distributor of digital entertainment products,  announced that digital detectives can get their sleuth on with Secret Files: Tunguska for the Wii™ and Nintendo DS™, as it hits store shelves today.

Secret Files: Tunguska begins its story in 1908, in the Tunguska region of Siberia.  Early in the morning on June 30, a massive explosion in the sky sent waves of fire and destruction over an 830 square mile patch of forest.  Research and investigation immediately began to try and determine what caused the blast.  Top scientists the world over wrestled with the data collected, attempting to rationalize their findings.  Most scientists agree today that it was caused by an air-burst from a meteoroid entering the Earth’s atmosphere.  But some say it was something different.  Something more… extraordinary.

Flash forward to the present.  Nina Kalenkov is a Russian girl living in Berlin, and her father works at a local museum as a research scientist studying the Tunguska Event.   When he disappears suddenly without a trace, Nina takes it upon herself to find what happened to him, and why.  Who would want a quiet research scientist?  What could they possibly do with him?  And how does the Tunguska Event tie into it all?  The mystery only intensifies as players dig deeper into Secret Files: Tunguska.

“Secret Files: Tunguska offers a great array of puzzles and intrigue as a point-and-click adventure,” said Geoff Mulligan, Chief Operating Officer at Deep Silver.  “Players should enjoy teasing solutions out of the game by making use of the environment and the two controllable characters that interact seamlessly with each other.  Considering that, along with its intuitive controls, engrossing storyline, and 10+ hours of gameplay, we’re very happy to bring this title to gamers in North America, both at home and on the go!”

Secret Files: Tunguska on Wii and Nintendo DS is available now at the suggested retail price of $19.99 for both platforms.  It is rated T for Teen by the ESRB.
