Friend Collection Coming to 3DS 3DS

This time, the Miis can raise families.

A 3DS sequel to the DS's Tomodachi Collection, also known as Friend Collection, was revealed at the Nintendo 3DS press conference.

The trailer consisted of a Mii couple re-telling their story. The trailer ends with the sound of a baby's cry. This confirms that the new edition of the game will have Mii families to raise.

Four Swords Features GB, NES Levels DS

The upcoming title has levels from systems you might not expect.

At the Nintendo 3DS Conference 2011, screens of the upcoming 3DS version of Four Swords were shown.Amongst the footage was gameplay from Game Boy and NES levels that maintained the four-player mayhem of the original game, but with visual presentations matching each system.Four Swords is set to release for 3DS later this year.

Nintendo 3DS May Miss Sales Target 3DS

Analysts are still not convinced of the 3DS's appeal.

Analysts believe that, despite a price cut, Nintendo may still miss a sales target for the 3DS.

They believe that the final sales total might be 16% shy of the company's expected annual target of 16 million units sold. Likewise,Nintendo might sell only 2.5 million units halfway through the fiscal year, which ends on March 31. Tonight, Nintendo will hold a special 3DS press conference, where software announcements are expected to be made.

Nintendo Working on Xenoblade Chronicles Stock Wii

More copies of the game are on the way this fall to resolve unexpected shortages.

Nintendo UK are working on resolving the Xenoblade Chronicles stock shortage situation and will have more copies in stores this season.

Following reports online and from our readers that it is difficult to get hold of the game, and online stores including Amazon, Asda, GAME, and others listing the game as unavailable, it is thought that the shortages are caused by unexpected high demand.

Eiji Aonuma Never Completed Zelda 1

The Zelda developer has never finished the original NES game.

Nintendo bigwig Eiji Aonuma, producer and director of Zelda games since the days of the Nintendo 64, has admitted to never completing the game that launched the series.

In an interview with Game Informer, Aonuma was asked of his thoughts about the original Legend of Zelda.

"I’ve never actually finished it," he said.

Nintendo 3DS Price Reduction a Success in North America 3DS

Sales of the 3DS rose greatly after price reduction.

Sales of the 3DS rose 260 percent after its price reduction in August, Nintendo announced today.

The 3DS, which saw a $80 price reduction in August, sold 185,000 units after the price drop, according to data provided by the NPD. The 3DS monthly total was 245,000. The system now retails at $169.99, having originally debuted at the $249.99 early in the year.

Expect another duo of Inazuma Eleven games later this year.

Inazuma Eleven Go for the Nintendo 3DS will be released on December 15th in Japan, according to the official Inazuma Eleven site.

In typical Inazuma Eleven fashion, there will be two versions of the game available at launch, those being Shine and Dark. Not much is known about the differences between the two versions except that each will feature exclusive transformations.

Monster Hunter Tri is getting a 3DS upgrade, and the 3DS is a Circle Pad peripheral.

Just two download games hit Europe this week and not one of them is new.

European gamers can look forward to two new games that will hit the download services on thursday.

On WiiWare, players will be able to download 3D Pixel Racing from Microforum. The racer features a distinctive retro 3D look, along with 10 tracks, 11 cars, and 10 pilots to choose from. There are various game modes to boot like Capture the Flag, Hot Pursuit and Time Trial. 3D Pixel Racing will set you back 500 Points.
