Nintendo Announces European DS Release Schedule DS

Kirby, Dragon Quest and Professor Layton headline the DS releases in Europe.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2, Kirby Mass Attack, and Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call now have October release dates in Europe thanks to today's announcement by Nintendo.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2, the sequel to the Dragon Quest monster training spin-off, is the first out of the game as it releases on October 7.

Four players can take on the role of the pink blob in the upcoming Wii adventure.

Up to four players can play as Kirby in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Nintendo of Europe confirmed today.

While it was commonly known that the game would feature four-player platforming similar to New Super Mario Bros. Wii, it was believed that players could only play as one Kirby, leaving the rest of the characters to be filled by series regulars like Meta Knight and King DeDeDe.

Four Swords Coming to European DSiWare DS

Link's most popular multiplayer adventure is landing on Europe this September.

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords is coming to the European DSiWare service this September.

Originally released in 2002, Four Swords is a multiplayer Zelda game where up to four players can connect and complete levels and dungeons as four different Links. It was included as a bonus on the Game Boy Advance re-release of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

3D Classics TwinBee Announced for Europe 3DS

The 3D remake of the NES classic lands in Europe soon.

3D Classics TwinBee will be coming in September to the European eShop.

Much like previous 3D Classics, TwinBee will retain the classic gameplay while featuring enhanced 3D graphics. The original game was an overhead shooter released for the Famicom and several other consoles in Japan on 1985. The game is being developed and published by Nintendo.

Mega Man Coming to the European eShop

The Blue Bomber is down but not out as he returns to handhelds.

Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge is coming to the eShop in Europe, Nintendo announced today.

The game, originally released in North America in December of 1991, plays similarly to the NES games, though it features elements from the first two Mega Man games on the NES. Four stages are available for completion, each one featuring a robot master at the end.

No Wii Redesign Plans in North America Wii

There will be no changes to the Wii hardware in North America for now.

There are no North American release plans for the Wii bundle with a redesigned console packaged with Wii Sports and Wii Party and without GameCube support that was announced for Europe earlier today. 

There are also no plans to release the redesigned console on its own.

Three Game Boy classic games will arrive this year in Europe.

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, Metroid II: Return of Samus and Bionic Commando will arrive on the 3DS Virtual Console during the fourth quarter in Europe.

North American and Japanese release lists have yet to confirm a release by the end of the year, but considering the popularity of the titles, gamers around the globe may have the chance to play these titles by this holiday season.

Gargoyle's Quest Coming to eShop in Europe 3DS

Gargoyle's Quest is hitting the 3DS VC next week.

Gargoyle's Quest will arrive on the 3DS Virtual Console on August 25 in Europe. 

Gargoyle's Quest was developed by Capcom and originally released on the Game Boy in 1990. The platforming/side-scrolling adventure puts players in the role of the gargoyle, Firebrand, in an attempt to save the ghoul realm from the evil King Breager. The game also contains some mild RPG elements, such as random enemy encounters while on the over world map.

The Last Story and Pandora's Tower Confirmed for 2012 Wii

The two epic titles from Japan will arrive in Europe next year.

The Last Story and Pandora's Tower will release in Europe in 2012. 

The two titles released earlier this year in Japan to positive reviews from Japanese media. These two titles are two of the targets of Operation Rainfall, an attempt to bring the English localized versions of the game to North America. As of right now, there are no plans to bring The Last Story or Pandora's Tower to the North American market.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Release Date Set Wii

Listen! Skyward Sword is coming out in November.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is coming out in North America on November 20, and in Europe on November 18, according to a press release from Nintendo.

The press release reiterated that the game's story is the precursor to Ocarina of Time, which recently saw a 3D remake on the Nintendo 3DS in June.

New Wii Hardware Revision Drops GameCube Support Wii

The new design is meant to sit horizontally and comes in a two-game bundle.

A new streamlined version of the Wii will be releasing in the United Kingdom before Christmas.

The console is meant to sit horizontally, with the vertical stand of the original version eliminated. The new system also removes backwards compatibility with GameCube software and accessories.

This new Wii will be sold as part of a new family bundle, which will include Wii Sports and Wii Party, along with a Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk.

Hideo Kojima tweet confirms the existence of the project.

A game in the Zone of the Enders series is in the works for the 3DS, according to a Hideo Kojima tweet.

The series features mech combat in a futuristic sci-fi setting. Previous games in the series include two action titles on the PlayStation 2, as well as a turn-based strategy spin-off on the Game Boy Advance.

Country Dance 2, a dance game featuring over 30 current country songs, is being developed for Wii by High Voltage Software.

Max and the Magic Marker Coming to DS DS

Touch screen-enhanced port of WiiWare title to launch this holiday.

Puzzle-platformer Max and the Magic Marker will be coming to the DS later this year from Easy Interactive.

The game, which was released on WiiWare in March of 2010, has you playing as a young boy named Max who discovers a marker with magical powers. This marker, now controlled with the DS stylus, is used to draw items on-screen to help the player traverse the 15 levels in the game.

New Resident Evil Revelations Trailer for Gamescom 3DS

The trailer unveils a new area in the mountains and a new antagonist. 

Capcom released a new trailer for Resident Evil Revelations at Gamescom 2011. The trailer focuses on Chris Redfield, his partner Jessica Sherawat, and a terrorist organization known as Veltro.

Along with the trailer, Capcom also debuted two new gameplay videos which show Chris fighting undead dogs as well as searching through the wreckage of a crashed airplane.

The price drop proves to be super effective!

The 3DS managed to sell 207,000 units during the week the price drop was made effective in Japan, according to a report by Nikkei.

The data tracks the sales from the week of August 8 till the 14, the same week in which the price drop was made official. In comparison to the sales data from the launch of the system, it tops the previous 206,000 units sold during that week.
