Sega's NGC plans GC

Sega sheds some light on its GameCube stance.

Sega announced in Japan today that two of their development teams, Sonic Team and Amusement Vision are currently working on games for the Nintendo GAMECUBE console. No titles have been announced yet, but are likely to be revealed at E3 next month.

Yamauchi speaks on Sega's involvement with Nintendo.

Galleon Denied GC

The game's lead designer shoots down reports that Galleon is confirmed for GameCube, but does not deny the possibility.

Although GameSpot VG reported the other day Galleon was confirmed by Interplay as a GameCube launch title (and the story was NOT reported as rumor), Confounding Factor's Toby Gard has denied it. In a statement to CVG, he says:

Slitherine Jumps Ship GBA

The developer of Tyrannosaurus Tex gives up on the handheld market in favor of PC development, citing the cartridge business model as the primary motivation.

A notice at Slitherine's website confirms that the incredible GBC first-person shooter Tyrannosaurus Tex still does not have a publisher. Activision Nabs Two for GBA GBA

The giant publisher will be handling the release of Bomberman Tournament and Pinobee: Wings of Adventure in all non-Japanese markets.

The newly renamed Bomberman Tournament and Pinobee: Wings of Adventure, both published by Hudson Soft in Japan, will be coming to North America, Europe, and presumably Asia, courtesy of Activison. No word on whether these two will join Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 as launch titles in the U.S.

Snowball to be delisted from NASDAQ, staff cuts

In the .com day and age, nothing can be worse than having your company get "delisted" from NASDAQ. Yet that same fate is about to befall Snowball, the parent of IGN, HighSchoolAlumni, and ChickClick.

According to NASDAQ regulations, when your stock trades below $1 for a period of time, NASDAQ can remove your stock from the index, or "delist" the company. Sure enough, Snowball has been trading under a dollar for some time now.

Thanks to an elite PGC reader/retail employee, we have NGC pre-order poster shots and a info-laden retailer report! Good stuff!

PGC has gained the assistance of a longtime reader turned l33t retail reporter, a gentleman calling himself "SillyMrMan" (and we'll leave it at to protect his anonymity) who has emailed us several promotional posters received from Nintendo. Since he was nice enough to hook us up, we got in touch and were all to happy to see what he had to say about the posters and other information from the retail front.

GameCube launch title confirmed: Galleon! GC

Interplay has announced its adventure game Galleon, from the creator of the original Tomb Raider. And it's headed to GameCube AT LAUNCH.

Whilst announcing its company earnings today, Interplay confirmed that its long-developed Galleon is being readied for release alongside Nintendo GameCube in October. The game has been in development for years, with Tomb Raider's original designer behind the wheel. The third-person adventure game focuses on pirates and features an entirely new graphics engine.

Nintendo is spinning off a new magazine to cover the Game Boy Advance!

We recently got word that Nintendo will be creating an entirely new magazine devoted to the Game Boy Advance. The first issue will be out in June and the magazine will be titled "Nintendo Power Advance." Clever title, isin't it? But, this new magazine raises some questions. Such as this one posted by Bloodworth, who alerted us to this story, in the forum.

Jon Miller says that not all features are back to their former selves, and apparently the message board is kaput until they can get it hosted separately, but Nintendorks is back!!!!
