MIDWAY ANNOUNCES PLANS TO OPEN INTERNAL DEVELOPMENT STUDIO IN AUSTIN, TEXAS

CHICAGO, September 2, 2004 - Leading interactive entertainment developer

and publisher, Midway Games Inc. (NYSE: MWY) today announced plans to

open a new internal development studio in Austin, Texas. Midway is

actively recruiting for the new studio which it plans to open in the

near future.
