Calabasas Hills, Calif. - May 8, 2003 - THQ® Inc. is set to debut its 2003 product line up, taking gamers from the forbidden zones of Chernobyl to the pyramids of Egypt, at next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles May 14-16, 2003. The company will unveil games across all viable game systems for every type of videogame fan - from unique action-adventures that allow players to explore the depths of exotic environments in games like Tak and the Power of Juju™ and Sphinx and the Shadow of Set™ to action games offering surreal adrenaline racing in Splashdown® Rides Gone Wild™ and MX Unleashed™. THQ will also showcase the colorful Superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment™ as well as the most expansive mass-market kids product portfolio in the industry, featuring favorite television and motion picture characters like SpongeBob SquarePants™ and Scooby-Doo!™.These titles and others will be available in the THQ booth across multiple game systems including the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox™ videogame system from Microsoft, Nintendo® GameCube™ and Game Boy® Advance, as well as personal computers and wireless devices. ACTION ADVENTURE

Tak and The Power of Juju is the first property under the unique THQ-Nickelodeon agreement dedicated to jointly creating original videogame content with multi-media franchise potential through Nickelodeon's television, movie, online, magazine and consumer product division. Set in a tribal world where magic (Juju) actually works, Tak, a young shaman's apprentice and unlikely hero, faces perils that are both lightheartedly amusing and entertaining.

Tak and The Power of Juju is scheduled for release on PlayStation 2, GameCube and Game Boy Advance in fall 2003.

Sphinx and the Shadow of Set, developed by game design veterans Eurocom Entertainment Software, takes the character-based, action-adventure genre to new heights with sophisticated gameplay mechanics, original character designs, amazing visuals and superior technology. Sphinx and the Shadow of Set is an entirely original property inspired by the mythology of ancient Egypt. Sphinx and the Shadow of Set is scheduled for release on PlayStation 2 and GameCube in fall 2003.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Based on the number one program on kids' TV, the evil Plankton sets his most diabolical plan ever in motion, putting the fate of Bikini Bottom in the hands (or small tentacles) of three unsuspecting heroes - SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick StarFish and Sandy Cheeks - each with unique moves and abilities. Players will go "tongue-boarding" down huge mountains, "underwear bungee jumping" off tall cliffs or ride in a guided "cruise bubble" in an effort to foil Plankton's scheme. SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom is scheduled for release on Playstation 2, Xbox, GameCube, Game Boy Advance and PC in fall 2003.

RACING

Hot Wheels Highway 35™ World Race™ takes racing to a new level as players are thrust into the unique futuristic Hot Wheels fantasy world where life revolves around intense stunt racing. Players race against the clock on extreme tracks featuring split/multi-level courses and obstacles while pulling-off wild gravity-defying stunts. Featuring special 35th anniversary Hot Wheels cars, Hot Wheels Highway 35 World Race is scheduled for release on PlayStation 2, GameCube, Game Boy Advance and PC in fall 2003.

WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT

WWE WrestleMania® XIX, featuring real-life Superstar abilities, an enhanced grappling experience and original story mode, allows players to enact `Sweet Revenge' on the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania.

Emphasizing simulation-style gameplay and all the action, excitement and attitude of World Wrestling Entertainment, WWE WrestleMania XIX will be available exclusively for Gamecube in fall 2003

THQ Ships Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo for Multiple Videogame Platforms and PC/Mac Based on the Walt Disney Pictures Presentation of Pixar Animation Studios' Finding Nemo Film

Free Movie Ticket For 'Finding Nemo,' The Upcoming Walt Disney Pictures Presentation Of A Pixar Animation Studios Film, In Finding Nemo Videogames

May 2003 (Newstream) -- THQ® Inc. announced the release of Walt Disney Pictures Presentation of Pixar Animation Studios' Finding Nemo videogame for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, XboxTM videogame system from Microsoft, Nintendo GameCubeTM and Game Boy® Advance, as well as two games for the PC/Mac. The game, which closely follows the storyline of the film, 'Finding Nemo' by Academy Award®-winning Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios, is now available in advance of the movie, scheduled to launch in theaters nationwide on May 30. The game features music and environments inspired by the motion picture.

For a limited time, each game package will include a free movie ticket to see 'Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo' as part of the game's extensive marketing campaign. Other elements of the multimillion-dollar program include national television, print, radio and online media campaign, in-theater marketing, and numerous cross-promotions. Finding Nemo will be available this week across multiple game systems at retail outlets nationwide.

"Disney and Pixar have a proven track record of releasing blockbuster animated motion pictures including 'Toy Story,' 'A Bug's Life,' 'Toy Story 2' and 'Monsters Inc.,' which boast videogame related franchise sales that total more than $500 million worldwide," said Peter Dille, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, THQ. "We're delighted to be launching Finding Nemo for every gamer on every major system in advance of the film's opening."

Finding Nemo for PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and Game Boy Advance follows the adventures of Nemo and his marine-life friends. The game is set in a 3-D underwater environment and allows players to play key movie characters including Nemo, Marlin and Dory, each with varied abilities. Gamers will explore several levels including mini games and bonus levels.

Consumers can also look forward to two different Finding Nemo titles for the PC/Mac. The first Finding Nemo game features arcade-style gameplay and follows the same concept of the console games. The second game, Finding Nemo: Nemo's Underwater World of Fun, is filled with mini-games and puzzle challenges involving the film's central characters. Each game is geared to entertain, challenge, and inspire kids to exercise their creative and critical thinking skills. Both games include puzzles designed to cultivate exploration, cooperation and problem solving. Following the movie's message, the games will help teach children courage, perseverance, trust and the value of coming to the aid of one another.
