Konami's popular franchise recieves another handheld incarnation.

REDWOOD CITY, CALIF. - April 15, 2003 - Leading video game publisher Konami of America, Inc., a subsidiary of Konami Corporation (NYSE: KNM), announced today that Yu-Gi-Oh!(tm) Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel for Nintendo Game Boy® Advance has shipped to retail outlets nationwide. The latest installment in the best-selling Yu-Gi-Oh!(tm) video game series, Worldwide Edition brings to life the enormously popular Yu-Gi-Oh!(tm) Trading Card Game with stunning accuracy. Worldwide Edition features more than 1,000 game cards and updated Trading Card Game rules. As an added bonus Worldwide Edition comes with three powerful limited-edition Trading Game Cards only available with the game: Harpie's Feather Duster, Sinister Serpent and Valkyrion The Magna Warrior.

The first handheld Yu-Gi-Oh!(tm) video game to feature a single-player adventure mode, Worldwide Edition brings players to Battle City, an exciting metropolis that hosts the ultimate Yu-Gi-Oh!(tm) tournament. Players progress through the game by visiting various neighborhoods as well as interacting with city dwellers and challenging characters from the popular TV series in order to win the championship. By supporting English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese and Italian, players from around the globe can link up and compete against one another. For an added edge, virtual duelists can collect cards from over 20 types of booster packs, import cards from the official Trading Card Game or trade cards with friends as they attempt to build an unbeatable deck.
