Nintendo isn’t the only company losing executives named Peter, or losing employees to Microsoft ...

Update: It appears that Peter Moore is now Vice President of Retail Sales and Marketing at Microsoft. Congrats to Peter for hitting the ground running, and we hope that his new position finds him happy.

On Friday, Sega of America announced that its president and chief operating officer, Peter Moore, has left the company after four years of dedicated work. Tetsu Kayama, the Japanese division’s chief executive officer, has assumed all of Moore’s responsibilities. Sega would not elaborate on the circumstances of this sudden departure, although the report suggests Sega’s poor performance may have been involved.

"We thank Peter Moore for his four years of service at SEGA and wish him well in his future endeavors," Kayama said in a statement.

All of us at Planet GameCube second Mr. Kayama and wish Mr. Moore the best.
