SPYRO THE DRAGON'S NINTENDO GAMECUBE DEBUT,

SPYRO: ENTER THE DRAGONFLY,

TO RETAILERS NATIONWIDE

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., November 20, 2002 - Universal Interactive, Inc., a studio of Vivendi Universal Games, announced today that it has shipped "Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly" for the Nintendo GameCubeT to retailers nationwide.

Spyro's debut on the Nintendo GameCubeT is the sequel to "Spyro: Year of the DragonÔ," Universal Interactive's best-selling title for the PlayStationÒ game console.

In Spyro's new adventure, Ripto returns to the Dragon Realms and steals all the Dragonflies-the source of all dragon magic. Now Spyro and his sidekick, Sparx, must find a way to return the Dragonflies and restore order to the Dragon Realm.

To fight his enemies, Spyro is equipped with dynamic new abilities, beyond fire, such as electricity, ice and bubble breath. Players navigate Spyro in new vehicles including a tank, a UFO and a Spitfire plane through detailed worlds complete with real-time lighting and fog effects, dynamic water and richly textured architecture.

"Spyro fans and young gamers will discover many hours of platform adventure and 16 challenging new mini games in the purple dragon's latest console outing," said Nicholas Longano, general manager of Universal Interactive. "Combining some of the most popular aspects of previous games with new concepts, Universal Interactive delivers a next-gen Spyro game to Nintendo GameCubeT enthusiasts."

Making his return to the world of Spyro console gaming, Stewart Copeland, formerly of the Police, composed the musical score for "Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly."

The Spyro the Dragon franchise has sold more than 11 million units worldwide and is the winner of the 2002 All Star Award from the Children's Software Revue for the title "Spyro: Season of Ice." Developed by California-based Equinoxe Digital Entertainment, "Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly" is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.
