Blizzard Entertainment® Announces "Blizzard Classic Arcade" Label And The Return Of "The Lost Vikings™"

IRVINE, California - October 7, 2002 - Blizzard Entertainment®, a studio of the Games division of Vivendi Universal Publishing, announced today plans to bring The Lost Vikings™ to the Game Boy® Advance under its newly created Blizzard Classic Arcade label. Further information regarding upcoming titles to be published by the new label as well as country specifics will be announced in the months to come.

"The Lost Vikings was one of the first games that Blizzard developed and we've received numerous requests from our consumers to make the title available again," stated Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment president and co-founder. "With the 10-year anniversary of The Lost Vikings approaching, we felt that this was the ideal time to revisit this game. Additionally, the style of gameplay translates well to the Game Boy Advance."

In The Lost Vikings, players must employ the skills of 3 unique Viking characters cooperatively to solve puzzles, conquer enemies, and navigate their treacherous voyage back home. The game provides hours of arcade-style action with over 35 levels, numerous enemies, and hundreds of mind-bending puzzles to solve.

In order to advance through levels, players must learn to master the abilities of the powerful runner Erik the Swift, burly defender Olaf the Stout, and the unyielding swordsman Baleog the Fierce. As the adventure continues, players will encounter many different worlds to explore including Prehistoria, Egypt, The Great Factory and Wacky World. The Lost Vikings is scheduled to release in spring 2003 and is expected to retail for approximately $29.99 at retailers nationwide.
