Hoping for some GameCube or GBA RPGs from Square or Enix to be shown at next month's E3 Expo? Brace yourself for some bad news...

Discuss it in Talkback!

PGC has learned that neither Square nor Enix will be showing GameCube or GBA titles of any type at E3 2002. Many people had hoped to see some early support from these two Japanese companies, both famous for RPGs, but it looks like fans will have to wait a bit longer.

Despite the recent announcements in Japan, SquareSoft's North American PR told us they have not announced any titles for Nintendo systems, and they don't plan to announce anything leading up to or during E3. We were hoping that an early version of Final Fantasy Tactics for GBA would at least be shown, but it looks like that will have to wait for SpaceWorld or the Tokyo Games Show later this year.

Meanwhile, Enix is supporting GBA and likely GameCube as well, but they won't have any titles to show on the floor. However, representatives from the company will likely be discussing Nintendo and their plans for the future, and PGC will be there to get any useful info we can from them.
