Although only those lucky PS2 (and PC) gamers will get to see Britney shake her stuff in full 3D, GBA fans can still dance the night away with THQ's Britney's Dance Beat for the handheld. Here's the press release, complete with Britney's own words about the gaming audience and her debut on the tiny screen:

Britney Spears Dances Into The Videogame Industry In Her Interactive Entertainment Debut

CALABASAS HILLS, CA, March 26, 2002 ? THQ Inc. (NASDAQ NMS: THQI) today announced that Britney?s Dance Beat? for Game Boy Advance is now available at retailers nationwide.

The game is the first release under THQ?s worldwide, exclusive agreement with Britney Brands Inc. to publish games featuring Britney Spears, one of the biggest names in entertainment.

Britney?s Dance Beat for PlayStation®2 and PC ship this May.

Players of Britney's Dance Beat for Game Boy Advance will help Britney prepare for her upcoming tour by maneuvering her through a series of practices to perfect her dance moves.

Rhythmic pressing of the right buttons to the beat of Britney's hit songs will unlock puzzles and photos.

A two-player mode, using a Game Boy Advance link cable, allows competition among friends to see who's best at getting their groove on. True fans will recognize the authentic choreography and costumes from Britney music videos and live performances. The game features Britney?s biggest hit songs, including new release "Overprotected," as well as classics "Baby One More Time," "Oops!, I Did it Again," "I'm a Slave 4 U," and "Stronger."

The agreement with Britney Brands grants THQ exclusive rights to publish Britney Spears games for Sony PlayStation 2, Nintendo Game Boy Advance and PC through 2005.
