The good news is that Smash Brothers broke the one million mark! The bad news is that it’s still in the Number 10 slot, nestled just below it’s other Top 10 Nintendo compatriots, Super Mario Advance 2 and Animal Forest Plus.
Super Mario Plus 2 slipped from fourth to seventh place, but is still doing well considering six of the top ten selling titles this week were new releases. Aside from Sangokushi VIII, these three long time crowd-pleasers from Nintendo have clung to their ranks, where as other previously well moving titles such as Momotaro Railroad Company, Gundam and Gran Turismo sink further down the chart. Time will tell how they fare in the weeks to come, along with the soon to be released Animal Leader.
Overall, Nintendo branded titles accounted for only ten of the 30 best selling titles this week, down from last week.
