A Game Boy Advance title based on the Disney/Pixar feature film has shipped and should be available now.

With three blockbusters under its belt, Pixar has quickly become one of the most successful and consistent production houses of the film industry. Its fourth cooperative venture with Disney, Monsters, Inc., is debuting this month and will likely be yet another box office hit.

Naturally, Disney would want a video game tie-in with a movie this big, and THQ has come to the rescue with Monsters, Inc. for Game Boy Advance. (There's also another game for GB Color.) The game has shipped just in time for the film's theatrical debut, and it should be available now at all major retailers. Here's what THQ had to say about the game's release:

"Disney and Pixar have an unrivaled ability to create clever, comedic animated motion picture classics that appeal to audiences of all ages," said Alison Locke, executive vice president, North American publishing, THQ. "As a leader in handheld publishing, THQ is thrilled to have collaborated with Disney in bringing Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc. to life on Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Color."

In Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc. for Game Boy Advance, players assume the role of Sulley, Monsters, Inc.'s top kid "Scarer," as he navigates through Monstropolis. After Sulley accidentally lets a little human girl (nick-named Boo) into the monster world, it's his mission to return her home safely. Using Sulley's laugh launcher to defend themselves, players will explore different monster world environments in more than 20 levels including restaurant buildings, the scream factory and neighborhood streets.
