Heheheh. Heheheh. *Evil maniacal laugh*

I was gone all day working at a Vans Skateboarding Tournament, so thanks to an anonymous AOL reader out there for giving me the low down about the story. Nintendojo has word that IBM's Gekko is a serious powerhouse. I quote, Gekko is "Blowing away" the PSX2 hardware. Would you expect anything less? Here's the skinny...

Yet another piece of incredible news has managed to squirm it's way onto the Dojo news desk. Almost lost in a coffee spill, this tidbit was thankfully saved. Why is this news so important?? Here's why:

A source close to dojo who is also a member of the IBM organization revealed interesting tidbits about the power of Nintendo's upcoming Dolphin super-console. IBM, has some of you already know, is designing the Gekko chip, the heart of Nintendo's still unamed Project Dolphin. Silicon Valley start-up ArtX is designing the console's graphics chip. You're going to hear more directly from the Dojo's particular source about the Dolphin in the near future. However, I will let you know that this is what the source had to say to me yesterday.

The chipset for the Project Dolphin has been modified so many times that nobody at IBM really knows the potential of this thing. In fact, the only one thing that is certain is that this IBM chipset is being closely guarded by IBM insiders as it is making unheard of advances. Finally, the one thing that is more certain than IBM's security is that even at this early stage of development the Dolphin chipset is already "blowing away" the PS2 hardware! A bold statement considering the fact that PS2 hardware is already very powerful.

Folks, when I hear chips being morphed into a whole new realm of processing power the bottom of my feet start to sweat. I can't imagine what the braniacs at IBM HQ are designing to melt our minds..... There is more to come from the source. In the meantime Dojo Disciples, trust no one. Well except Dojo of course
