John Romero, the developer of classic Id games such as Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake & unforgettable Ion Storm failures like Daikatana, is interested in NGC.

Well this just kind of fell into my lap, but it's pretty cool nonetheless. A friend of mine mentioned JohnRomero.com to me this morning, so I went and had a look around...and ended up emailing him, just for the heck of it. What do you know, he replied! Of course, I asked him what he thought of GameCube, and here's what he said:

"The demo looked amazing and it seems we'll be seeing the same Mario, Zelda, etc. games on it once again. I may develop for it sometime in the future..."

Schwing! For those of you who don't know, Romero is the father of game series such as Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, and Quake. Although he is no longer involved with id, the owner of those franchises, he runs his own company called Ion Storm. Ion Storm's most recent games are Deus Ex and Daikatana. Romero is truly a gaming legend, and I for one would love to see his work appear on GameCube one day!
