This week's power level is a little under 10,000, and I can definitely dig it.

No two ways about it: this week is nuts. Not only are there four physical Switch games (the 4th, Soldam, launches October 10 in stores but is out digitally now), we've got two of the biggest Nindie hits of the year in SteamWorld Dig 2 and Thimbleweed Park. Your wallet is not ready.

In old game returning news, Pokkén Tournament added a bunch of new characters for its Switch debut while those looking for a little less Croagunk can get their fisticuffs on with Art of Fighting from the NeoGeo. That's pretty much it for the retro font, though there is a somewhat older RPG coming from Bandai Namco in about twenty episodes in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. (Reviews of the week: Matt and Daan for SteamWorld Dig 2, David Lloyd on Pokkén DX, your humble download lister's Soldam review, and we should have Thimbleweed Park up shortly.)

Japan has the big not-already-listed game of the week as they get the miracle-if-being-localized-and-also-IP-blocked Dragon Quest X (your microSD is already full). And hopefully a lot of announcements coming out of the Makuhari Messe this weekend.
