This is the first time fighting game franchise BlazBlue will appear on a Nintendo home console.

Arc System Works is developing an entry in their fighting game series BlazBlue for the Nintendo Switch; alongside the western-themed farm/town-building simulation title New Frontier Days: Founding Pioneers. The Japanese game developer wasn't at Nintendo's live-streamed Switch Presentation last week, but instead made the announcement through their Japanese website.

The BlazBlue series of fighting games has been on Nintendo platforms before, but only a handful of times and then only on handhelds. This will be the first time the franchise shows up on a Nintendo home console.

New Frontier Days: Founding Pioneers appears to be a western/frontier themed farm/town building simulation title. It appears to be a follow-up to an earlier Nintendo 3DS title that released awhile ago in Japan, and that Circle Entertainment recently announced they would be bringing to the North American market.

Arc System Works didn't share much in the way of details for either game, nor did they state any specific release target. Additionally, Arc System Works didn't mention anything about whether titles were planned for release outside of the Japanese market (a task other game publishing houses usually partner with them for), but New Frontier Days: Founding Pioneers does have an English-language page on Arc System Work's Japanese website. As of writing, however, it's little more than the game's logo, the Nintendo Switch Logo, and some some game art.
