This week's offering on the eShops are definitely not for the faint of heart, nor for our younger viewers. In terms of cost and size, the big one this week is Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse - Neal's review has been top of mind for most of the week as I try to manage a whole boatload of RPGs. The first Nindie Summer Jam of the fall is DrinkBox Studios's Severed, which is about as far as you can get from their previous Wii U title Guacamelee, and is also crossbuy - even if we don't have confirmation of the 3DS version hitting North America today. We do know that Neal's review for that will be up shortly.

Some of the bigger eShoppers may already have today's Wii U Virtual Console release, as Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii) is on the docket. Retro's best pre-Tropical Freeze release was a My Nintendo Gold reward through June - and if you didn't get it, it's because it was 230 coins (roughly $200). Capcom continues to bring the New 3DS ruckus as Final Fight 2 and 3 land on Virtual Console for the portable powerhouse.

Europe has a couple of those Nindie Jams, as Severed (with confirmed crossbuy) is joined by Noitu Love: Devolution, and a special crossbuy discount on its dual versions as well.
