There's always a bigger fish.
The newest issue of CoroCoro Magazine has introduced five new Pokémon and two Alola Forms, as well as revealing the force of evil in Alola.
The five new Pokémon are:
- Namakobushi - types unknown, but based on the sea cucumber and capable of firing a fist out of its mouth
- Nuikoguma - Normal/Fighting type, a quadrapedal bear that evolves into Bewear
- Sunabā and Shirodesuna - Ghost/Ground, an evolutionary family that starts as a sand mound and evolves into a giant sand castle
- Yowashi - Water type with a Solo form that is a single fish, and a Swarm Form that looks like an entire school
Meowth and Marowak were revealed as Alola Form Pokémon. Marowak, who will be used by one of the trial captains who is a Fire specialist, is Fire/Ghost while Meowth will be a Dark type. Alola Marowak is lighter than its standard counterpart, but no other information was given about stat changes.
Finally, the villianous team has been revealed as Team Skull, whose leader is named Guzuma in Japan.
Further Pokémon Sun and Moon information is expected in a trailer airing at 10am Japan Standard Time Friday (9 pm Eastern time Thursday night) on Friday, and at the World Pokémon Championships occurring in San Francisco next weekend.
