Nintendo Downloads - June 16, 2016

A surprisingly spry week when you get a major game dropped at random.

The shock releases of BOXBOXBOY's preload and especially Rhythm Heaven Megamix make for quite a pricey week on the North American eShop. The Wii U also apparently gets its downloadable version of Terraria, with the physical version to follow in roughly two weeks.

But there's quite a busy week on the old school game end - 3DS Legacy Collection owners can add Mega Man 7 to the list, meaning we're ports of 9 and 10 away from having all the (at least decent) mainline Mega Man games on one system. The Wii U picks up Super Paper Mario, which provides today's page image, and one of the best GBA games of all time in Drill Dozer. I'd say it's top 5 overall, and voted as such for an upcoming feature.

Europe, who sadly don't get Megamix until October (but will have a physical version to console themselves with), has a lighter week. It's Twin Robots on Wii U (which looks kind of like Chibi Robo Zip Lash) and the original Gunslugs on 3DS. And a grip of sales.

Talkback

PhilPhillip Stortzum, June 16, 2016

If I didn't already own Drill Dozer or had just played it in December of last year, I'd be all over this. Speaking of which, I still need to download some GBA games on the VC that I've missed out on.
