From exploration to dragon slaying, 2016 is the year of the RPG on the 3DS.
Some other announcements came out of tonight's 3DS RPG Showcase in San Francisco, aside from the Fire Emblem and Bravely Second news.
- Final Fantasy Explorers - launching a week from today on the 26th - will include all of the DLC from the Japanese version in the base game.
- Project X Zone 2 showed a new trailer that included an appearance from Kickstarter star Ryo Hazuki (Shenmue III).
- Dragon Quest VII and VIII were reconfirmed for a Summer 2016 and "2016" release dates. Dragon Quest VII was shown with its new localization, no random encounters, and story summaries that shorten the length of the game. The presentation praised the "top-notch localization", but there was no clarification on whether the PS2's localization was used or a new one.
