I just want to fly, put your arms around me baby.

Since North America’s most prominent releases of the week are retail exclusive (Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival, the Wii version of Rodea the Sky Soldier), it’s not as busy a week on the eShop as one would think it is yet. The biggest titles are the other versions of Rodea the Sky Soldier – I reviewed the 3DS version, and it’s a definite buyer beware.

The Wii U eShop also picks up a unique indie title this week with Girls Like Robots. Originally published by Adult Swim Games on iOS, the team at Popcannibal has created a unique puzzle/strategy hybrid that takes seating arrangements to the extreme. The 3DS’s biggest release is the previously released Nintendo Badge Arcade. On the Virtual Console, put down the Konami pitchforks for a moment as they drop Contra Advance: The Alien Wars EX (the GBA port of the existing SNES title).

Europe gets their Rodeas on and also can head over to the Nintendo Badge Arcade (the rabbit says hi, by the way). Be sure to grab the Affordable Space Adventures sale if you haven’t already, or maybe the Mega Drive theme complete with “SEGA” on game boot.

Note that this is as of just after 9 in the morning on a Nintendo Direct day, so lord only knows what will be on the eShop when we’re done. Buckle up, folks.
