Promising games of the summer for Wii U and 3DS

Japan's next Nintendo Direct presentation has been announced with an unusual time.

The video will air at 7pm Japan Standard Time (6am ET / 3am PT) this Sunday, May 31, the first time a major Direct has aired on a Sunday in any territory since the Direct that revealed Miiverse and New Super Mario U in June 2012.

The announcement from Nintendo's Japanese Twitter promises "Wii U and 3DS games for the summer", and the presentation will have a portion that requires an age gate. Rhythm Tengoku The Best Plus and Fire Emblem if should be among the games that appear.

So what the hell is Nintendo bringing to E3?

I'm reeling in my expectations more and more.

Actual new games since this Direct is about upcoming Summer games in Japan we already know about.  E3 is meant for you know, North America and the event they always save the big new reveals for.

New games for North America, maybe, which makes me really wonder how many new or surprising announcements we're really going to have. Further proof that, as you said, E3 will probably be a "North American" event rather than feature truly new content. It's going to be another case of the Treehouse desperately trying to get us excited for a game like Fantasy Life.

Some Fire Emblem news.

Dr. Mario 3DS game with online.

New Chibi Robo game! Even with Amiibo.

Capcom and From Software present: Felyne Crossing! I laughed when i realized that From is doing AC ripoff with cats. Not the first time they worked in that aesthetic (Adventures of Cookie and Cream), but still funny.

Monster Hunter X. Cacpcom said they wanted to make it more stylish and i even got my hopes up, thinking thy want to make stylish action game, but nope. Animations still take eternity to wind up, most moves from monsters still throw you off your legs -- it's still the same unplayable combat.
