You'll be able to bring your Amiibo with you on the go starting next month.
The 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. will be getting Amiibo support next month, Nintendo announced during today's Direct broadcast.
A system update will be rolling out in February that allows players to use the NFC capabilities of the New Nintendo 3DS XL to scan in their character data for use in the popular fighting game.
Additionally, Nintendo confirmed that Amiibo support for the Nintendo 3DS NFC Reader/Writer will be coming at a later date.
