Additional enemies, items, and costumes revealed.

Fi, the sword spirit and Link’s guide in Skyward Sword, will appear as a playable character in Hyrule Warriors, according to Famitsu.

No details are known regarding Fi's weapons or fighting style. However, major Skyward Sword enemies Ghirahim and the Imprisoned have been revealed as foes in the upcoming Dynasty Warriors-styled Zelda romp.

Moreover, it appears Link and Zelda will be able to don costumes based on their Skyward Sword appearances. These character skins will join previously announced Twilight Princess outfits.

Famitsu’s article shows off a new weapon, as well, which seems to be a version of Twilight Princess’s Ball and Chain.

All these skins being added make me want one thing.....Fierce Deity skin.

With Midna in it was a given Fi be in.  There is a lot of things you can do with her.  Though I think the title of this article is wrong.

Should be:  Twilight Princess Ball and Chain Joins Hyrule Warriors.

Much more exciting announcement.

If this is not in then I declare the game an utter failure.

Ugh, did anyone even like Fi?

Maybe Navi is somehow playable.

'Master the enemy is advancing on your left flank'
'Master we are heavily outnumbered'
'Master if you press A you will attack'

I lack a background in the Warriors/musou games - is there a mode where you can beat up player characters?

Asking for a friend.

I haven't played one since the PS2 days, but there was local competitive movde, if that's what you're asking.

I think Dynasty Warriors 4 had it. I don't think dynasty Warriors 5 had it. I haven't played either in years, but I remember you were on a bridge and a couple of minor enemies came and were followed up by a player character. It was hard as hell.

In Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper (A crossover between Dynasty and Samurai Warriors if you don't know) for Wii U they added a Duel Mode where you can have 3v3 battles. The mode also had online play if I'm not mistaken

Here's a much higher-quality version of the dinky image posted above: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BsH9YPyCEAMWMn6.jpg:large

Well the official website has now been updated with all the Famitsu images.

Looks like Zelda gets a Wind Waker weapon as well.

See, the mode I'm looking for is one where you play the normal game, except replace the mooks with copies of a player character.

Because I don't want to play as Fi, I wish to run her through repeatedly with ANY OTHER CHARACTER SHORT OF TINGLE.

I really would've enjoyed seeing Aonuma's crazy explanation for how this would have fit into the timeline, but he had to cop out and call it non-canon.
