Canadian songwriter Cœur de Pirate ties it all together with an enchanting score.

Ubisoft has partnered with Cirque du Soleil for the upcoming release, Child of Light.

Ubisoft released a behind-the-scenes video detailing their partnership with Cirque du Soleil, as well as songwriter Cœur de Pirate. Their aim is to develop the game "into a well-rounded work of art". Creative director Patrick Plourde turned to the world famous entertainment company to give the game a "sense of theatricality" and to bring a non-game design perspective to the artistic and stage direction of the title.

The game is scheduled for release later this month on April 30 for $14.99.

That makes me not want to buy it.

"Mmm! Finally, a circus full of whimsy and wonder."
"Oh, yeah. That's way better than fun and excitement."

I don't understand what this partnership is supposed to bring about... but am rather excited that the game is about to arrive. Child of Light looks gorgeous, and Wii U could use some RPG lovin'.
